Meditation on the Unborn
The Isha Upanishad the ancient Indian scripture which inspired none other than Mahatma Gandhi contains some gems for those embarking on Path to Enlightenment.
This verse from this text is a meditation on the unborn Ever-Existent by the Sadhak [one on the path] to see the true nature of the unborn.
हिरण्मयेन पात्रेण सत्यस्यापिहितं मुखम् l
तत्त्वं पूषन्नपावृणु सत्यधर्माय दृष्टये ll
Hiranmayena Patrena Satyasyapihitam Mukham l
Tattvam Pusannapavrnu Satyadharmaya drstaye ll
Meaning
The unborn! Who lives inside and nourishes all, be pleased to remove for me, who follows the path of Truth, the brilliance of the disc which hides your face.
