Ganesh Protection Mantra

This is a most simple yet powerful Ganesh Protection Mantra. This is a Satvik [Pure] protection Mantra calling upon Ganesha to eradicate dangers from evil energies, spirits and the evil eye.

The Mantra contains the Beej or root letter of Ganesha ग्लौं [Glaum]. It has been recommended that this Mantra be recited 1188 times, the recitation of this Mantra is said to be most fruitful on any Saturday.

    To both of you who have asked this question; the Ganesh Mantra can be chanted on any day; however it is considered to be most powerful on Saturdays.

      Is is not mandatory, but most people take the name of Ganesha or their Ishta Devta before commencing any new venture or task.
