Traditional Indian remedy for Hiccups

This is a home remedy which is used by practitioners of traditional Indian medicine to stop hiccups. A hiccup is an involuntary physical action over which one has no control. This is the reason hiccups can be most irritating as well as embarrassing.

There are a lot of people who suffer from persistent hiccups; there are no specific medical treatments available for this ailment. One has to turn to alternative medicine, which has numerous remedies for the treatment of hiccups.

Now coming back to this traditional Indian home remedy which makes the use of the commonly available Daikon or White Radish; the remedy is quite simple.

Put dried White Radish in about half a liter of water and boil it. Then filter this water with a fine sieve, Take about 100 grams of this water [lukewarm] every hour, till the hiccups subsides.
