The Veer Tantra mentions the existence of 52 Veers, each having a specific role and purpose. Veer literally signifies brave or fearless and these 52 forms signify the fearless aspect of certain Hindu deities and mystic beings. Out of these 52 Veers, the Jagruti or awakening of these dormant forces, the awakening of 31 Veers, is done through the Dakshin Marg or Satvik Sadhana and 21 Veers is done through the Vaam Marg or Tamas Guni Sadhanas.
These Sadhanas irrespective, of Dakshin or Vaam Marg Jagruti are all extremely fearsome and dangerous and hence success is gained only by the evolved Yogi or Sadhu. Ordinary people trying to awaken these fearsome mystic beings are likely to die, suffer or become lunatics. Hence, fools and idiots should keep away.
One such Sadhana done through the Vaam Marg is the Narasimha Veer Jagruti Mantra Prayog. This Sadhana is performed under a Champa Tree [Frangipani Tree] or a Malti Tree [Chinese honeysuckle Tree].
The Sadhak has to sit down comfortably facing the South and worship the tree with offerings of Water, Gandham, Dhoop, Deep, Akshat [Rice Grains offered in a Hindu Religious Rite] and a Bhog of a Sweet dish like a Halwa.
Then a Yagnopavit Ceremony has to be performed and the Sacred Thread has to be tied around the root of the tree. The Yagnopavit Ceremony is the Hindu rite preformed to initiate boys [there are also some cases of girls being initiated] into the religious fold by tying the Sacred Thread on their bodies.
After completing the rites mentioned above, the Sadhak has to chant the Narasimha Veer Jagruti Mantra 108 time in the morning and 108 times at night, using a Rudraksha Mala.
The Mantra Chanting has to be done for 41 days in a row without taking a break and if the Sadhana is done with great and single-minded devotion, the Narasimha Veer will be awakened and will bless the Sadhak, after which there is nothing to fear from anything in life and the Sadhak himself will be a fearless person. All his wants and needs will be taken care of and there will be nothing to worry about in life.
