Future Space Telescopes to Discover Life Forms

Some high orbiting settlers began having formed from usable asteroids some telescopes, to be ion jetted to the nearby stars. Each exploring telescope at some star would study all planets and major asteroids orbiting its star. It would compute and report such orbits to us back here, together with images collected of the planets. Planet sizes and surface appearances would be sent back here with observed orbit details. Observing orbiting moons would let their parent planet masses be determined.

If swinging around near a moon or large asteroid, the telescope could be lightly deflected to pass close enough so that its further slight deflection by the body's gravity would let its mass be determined. Then it's size would let the body's average density be determined.

Out of 207 nearby stars up to 49 light years away, the closest were reached first, to be studied well by their sent new telescopes. Each telescope was ion jetted to reach a specific star over decades. It was monitored and managed by later also quite interested high orbiting helpful settlers, all good for Earth astronomers happy to have ample nearby stellar planetary orbit systems' good fine images and analyzed details sent back to us, then collected and cataloged, publically available for any interested folks to see.

Over decades, more and more of the 207 stars up to 49 light years away became reached and observed by their sent telescopes. For each star, a composite image was assembled of all its planets given widths scaled to Earth. (For our Solar system, this would give image diameters vs. Earth: Mercury .403, Venus .989, Mars .538, Jupiter 11.257, Saturn 9.454, Uranus 4.186, Neptune 3.896.) This let viewers see compared planet sizes. Such a composite planets image had their compared orbit radii scaled and marked on a base line graph.

Another composite image of planets had their surface temperature ranges shown. Also listed were their major surface chemicals, in some cases including water. For major planets like our gas giants Jupiter and Saturn, these could include gases hydrogen and helium.

Some settlers were interested in more than just planet and asteroid orbit fine details. They hoped to find a few star orbiting bodies which might have some surface places where effective life had gradually spontaneously arisen long ago. Good analyzing device sets could be later sent and parachuted down to planet wet places seeming most likely to have possible at least simple naturally arisen single cell microscopic life forms. Such possibilities also interested some Earth astronomers who appreciated gradually receiving all the new good nearby stellar planetary systems details.
