What Belief in God Does

Belief in being Created by God (Allah, Jahveh) in His Universe having also Created Angels, gives such believers an unexpressed side benefit. It quietly protects them from ever feeling any awful loneliness they might otherwise most sadly feel in this vast cold universe, if not being special in any slightest way, with no wanted purpose, while having no Special undying Soul far above mere lesser animals, thus not being a Special God (Allah, Jahveh) Created Higher Intelligent Being type.

Who would ever want to be stuck with seeming to merely be nothing beyond a purposeless random unplanned unspecial very slowly randomly evolving mere raw animal type, merely coming from random reproducing genetics accidents of eons slow evolution in a vast cold uncaring universe? That could at times leave them quite distressed and feeling awfully lonely. Far better, much more comfortable, to make up if necessary some pretended Good imagined Intelligently Watchful Higher Creative God (Allah, Jahveh) Who is then conveniently imagined to be very Specially much interested in one's existence.

Or quite easy to simply adopt such a comforting convenient belief passed down from past early historic humans. And then it might be considered proper to sometimes even kill some others (including me) who expressed anything significantly questioning such a preferred happy ego inflating belief, or any who did anything which might significantly undermine it.

Why Second only to Angels? No other Earth animal approached human's mental thinking with our extensive vocabulary verbally encoded nature, good for organizing, improving, and spreading world-wide, inventions and developments which other animals could hardly begin to compete with. (Many humans in fact often restricted the word "animals" to maybe insultingly refer only to other animals, but not to themselves.) It could seem as if humans had been most Specially given this Superior mental Souls characteristic. As a result, humans alone had high mental creative capacity. Then with Angels presented thousands of years ago as Heavenly Beings uniquely Created by God (Allah, Jahveh) to be His exclusively Special High loyal Servants, to stand (or fly?) as His exclusive Highest Special life form alone above and beyond His Special Created Humans, this thus left Angels, greatly beyond mere mortal animals, as the only imagined kind of other Special Created Beings in God's (Allah's, Jahveh's) Universe any Higher above Humans.
