Dakshinavarti Shankh to Attract Laxmi

The genuine Dakshinavarti Shankh; also known as the Right Opening Shankh is found very rarely and that too to a fortunate few. This is a Conch Shell is said to be a most powerful Charm which is said to attract Laxmi.

This Shankh or Conch Shell is normally kept in the home or at the place of work; like an office or shop. Hindu religious scriptures including the Vedas, state that the Goddess Laxmi always resides in the place where the Dakshinavarti Shankh is kept.

The scriptures also state that auspicious occasions like weddings and births take place in the house where this Shell resides; glory and wealth touches the feet of the owner.

The Shell is normally kept in the Pooja Place, the Safe or any other pure and clean place. It is also decorated with a Gold or Silver Mekhala; a Mekhala is a kind of ornament, normally worn by ladies around the waist.

When acquired it is worshipped with offerings of red flowers, Diya of Pure Ghee and Agarbatti. Any popular Laxmi Mantra or Prarthana can be chanted as per the wishes of the owner. Thereafter it has to be kept in a clean condition; there is no need to worship it every day; this can be done on auspicious occasions; like Laxmi Pujan.
