A few recommendations for devote Hindus
These are a few things I recommend for devote Hindus in their almost daily worship of various deities. This advise have been given to be by a spiritually enlightened person. I hope you find these tips useful.
The Recommendations
In Ganesha Worship always offer Shendur to the Idol of Ganesha.
In the worship of Shiva always apply or offer Chandan [sandalwood].Kumkum should never be offered or applied.
The worship of Laxmi should be performed by the offering of Haldi and Kumkum. Kumkum should also be applied on the feet of Laxmi.
In Hanuman Worship Kumkum should never be applied or offered.
Khandoba should always be offered Haldi.
Mahalasa should be worshiped with Haldi and Kumkum.
Other that these Haldi and Kumkum should be used to worship all other deities.
Ashtagandha should never be offered to any deity.
The photos and idols in your place of worship should always be placed in the East – West direction.
Due place should be given to Ganesha, Annapurna, Bal Krishna and the Kuldeveta or Kuldevi in your place of worship.
The photos and idols in your place of worship should never be torn, worn out or broken; you have to do Visarjan of these photos and idols. If the photos and idols are nice and solid they will always stand by you solidly.

"you have to do Visarjan of these photos"... Sir, what is Visarjan? Would you please give us a brief explanation? Thanks in advance.

ReplyDeletei have been advised by astrologer to offer sindoor to hanumanji. you have told not to offer kumkum to hanumanji....so wat kind of sindoor to offer to hanumanji???please guide me guruji.
If your astrologer has advised you for a specific problem, then you can offer the Sindoor to Hanuman, otherwise in my opinion Kumkum should not be offered to Hanuman.
