Ekvira Devi Aarti - English - Marathi

Ekvira Devi is a widely worshipped Hindu Goddess in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Ekvira Devi is worshipped as the Mother Goddess or Adi-Shakti. This is how the Universal Mother or the Ever-Existent is seen and worshipped in India, more so in Shaktism.

Ekvira Devi is the Kul Devta or family deity of a lot of people belonging to Maharashtrian communities like the Kolis or the fishermen community and the CKP [Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhu] community.

The most famous temple dedicated to Ekviradevi is located amongst the ancient Karla Caves, which are located in the hills at Karla village.  These cave are believed to be over 2000 years old.

Ye-e ho ekvira devi majhi mauli ye l

Majhi mauli ye ll

Donhi kar joduni tumchi vaat me pahe ll Dhru.ll

Aaliya geliya ambe ghaadi nirop l

Karlyamadhye aahe majhi ekvira maay ll 1 ll

Pivli sadi hi ambe kaisi gagani zalakli l

Vyagranvari vaisoni majhi ekvira devi aali ll 2 ll

Ekviranche rajya amha nitya deepwali l

Ekvira devi naam tumche bhaave ovali ll
