Mantra for Guru Dwadashi and Dhantrayodashi

The Mantra given in this post is a Hindu Puranic Mantra for averting untimely demise and sudden death , which is specially chanted during the period of Diwali on the most auspicious dates of Guru Dwadashi and Dhantrayodashi, which fall on the 8th and 9th of November 2015. The Mantra is a prayer to the Hindu deity Yama who is worshipped on these days for protection and insulation from premature death and for long life for the self and family members. Described below is the simple method of performing this Mantra Prayoga.

Guru Dwadashi, which falls on the 12th Tithi of the Krishna Paksha or Dark Fortnight of the Hindu Lunar Month, is a most auspicious festival by itself, specially for the devotees of Guru Dattatreya, the Guru of all Gurus. Apart from the worship of Guru Dattatreya, the Yama Deep Daan is also beneficial if performed on this day.

On both these auspicious dates of Guru Dwadashi and Dhanteras, a Diya prepared from Wheat Dough [Gehun Ka Atta] has to be prepared and lit in the evening with its wick facing the South and the Mantra shown in the image should be chanted 11 times with utmost sincerity.
