Mahalaxmi Mantra for Laxmi Poojan

Laxmi Poojan, during the festival of Diwali as explained in numerous earlier posts over the past many years is probably the most auspicious Hindu Tithi for performing all kinds of rituals and worship relating to money, wealth and abundance.  The Mahalaxmi Mantra described in this post is most suitable for laypersons performing a simple Puja at home on the day of Laxmi-Poojan.

The Puja can be performed by keeping study books, account ledgers, bank pass and chequebooks, credit and debit cards, pens, pencils, laptop, weighing machines or jewellery and valuables before a Photo of Laxmi or Kubera. Other item, which you think are valuable to you or for your business, job or studies, can also be place before the Photographs.

After this, one can offer sweet smelling flowers, incense, Bhog of Mithai or Sweets and lighting a Diya of Pure Ghee to the Photos of Laxmi or Kubera. A flower should also be placed on every item placed before the photographs of these deities.

Then after performing the Puja, the Mahalaxmi Mantra given in this post should be chanted 11 times with faith, devotion and a clean mind.
