Did Nostradamus predict the flooding of New
York and devastation caused by Super Storm Sandy? Probably the most
relevant quatrain in the prophecies of Nostradamus describes a Garden submerged by unprecedented
flooding. At the time of writing this
post the Battery Areas which includes the famous Battery Park is submerged in
record flooding of over 13 feet of water.
If one looks at the prophecy through the eyes of Nostradamus;
over 500 years back, it might have looked like another of the floods described
in the Genesis.
Deucalion is the character from Greek mythology who escaped
a deluge by constructing an Ark
or a Chest.
Colossus is a huge statue like the Statue of Liberty.
Vesta is the Goddess from Greek mythology who is the keeper
of the hearth and the sacred flame.
Century- 6
“Sardon Nemans si hault desborderont,
Qu'on cuidera Deucalion renaistre,
Dans le colosse la plus part fuyront,
Vesta sepulchre feu estaint apparoistre”
Qu'on cuidera Deucalion renaistre,
Dans le colosse la plus part fuyront,
Vesta sepulchre feu estaint apparoistre”
“The Garden will flood so high that they will think it is an
Omen that Deucalion is reborn. In the colossus the greater part will flee,
Vesta’s flame appears extinguished in the tomb”
This appears like a deluge with a large chunk of the
population fleeing. To those affected it appears that the flame of the Statue
of Liberty has been extinguished as all hell has broken loose.
Century 10 of the prophecies of Nostradamus deals mostly
with the coming world climax; in which Nostradamus
predicts the earthshaking changes which are going to occur in this century, hence
this is a futuristic prophecy which has not yet been fulfilled. This
description could fit the happenings surrounding Super Storm Sandy and the countdown to December 21 2012.

Any consideration given to the nickname of New Jersey? It is the "Garden State." Something to consider.
ReplyDeleteVesta is also the Roman goddess of the hearth. Many cities burned because of natural gas fires. Also, the hearth is the source of light and energy in the home, this might be a reference to the blackout and loss of utilities. For Nostradamus this type of flame/heat would come closest to the electricity and gas we use to keep warm and cook with today. For many in the Garden state, it is extinquished and will be for a long time.
