Sant Tukaram Aarti - English - Marathi

Sant Tukaram was one of the greatest Saints on Maharashtra. He lived and preached in the small town of Dehu on the outskirts of the city of Pune, more than 400 years back.

He wrote more than 4500 religious compositions mostly in the form of devotional poetry, known in the Marathi Language as Abhangs. All his teachings were of a deep and profound spiritual nature, thus creating a conflict between him and the traditional religious preachers.

It is said that so profound and deep are the Abhangs of Sant Tukaram that God spoke through him.

Sant Tukarams Samadhi in Dehu is one of the most visited places of pilgrimage in Maharashtra.

This is an Aarti in Marathi which is recited in praise of Sant Tukaram.

sachidananda murti l Paay dhakvi aamha ll 1 ll

Raaghve saagarat l Pashan taariyele l
