Recently, while attending one shivir on Durga Saptshati, one mantra was recited for nine times, which is called Mrit Sanjeevani Mantra, which is given below.
OM HREEM HREEM VAM VAM AIM AIM; MRIT SANJEEVANI VIDYE; MRIT MUTHAPYOTHAPAYA; KREEM HREEM HREEM VAM SWAHA.
Now My questions:
1) What is the significance of this mantra;
2) If I or my wife recite it daily for nine times before Goddess Durga photo, will it effect to our lives.
3) what are the benefits if we recite it daily;
4) OR should we recite it for a fixed period of say 40 days or any period, which you suggest.
You are requested to kindly reply my query. It is requested that the reply may be sent at my e-mail OR if it is not possible and you decide to post it at your site, than please inform me that the reply is posted at the site, so
that I see it.
The Mrita Sanjeevani Mantra has different versions, the Mantra given to you is one of the versions of this great life giving Mantra. This is an ancient Mantra and the origin of the Mantra according to the Hindu texts can be traced back to Brahmarishi Shukracharya who had gained Siddhi over the Mrita Sanjeevani Vidya or the knowledge to gain immortality. The Mrita Sanjeevani Mantra is one of the most powerful of the Hindu Vedic Healing Mantras.
You and your wife can chant the Mantra daily before the photograph or idol of Durga Mata for good health, long life, to be free from diseases, mental peace and removal of all kind of known and unknown fears.
In my opinion, chanting the Mrita Sanjeevani Mantra just once in the morning after a bath with full confidence, faith and belief is sufficient, If you wish you could chant the Mantra once in the Morning and once in the evening or just before going to bed at night, as long as you wish.
If you have been advised a fixed period/fixed number of Mantra chants Sadhana, you can practice it if you so wish.
