Kamdhenu Gaumukhi Shankh Mantra Sadhana

The Gaumukhi Shankh or the Cow Faced Shankh weighs anywhere between half a kilogram to three kilograms and is normally light yellow in color, it is known as Gaumukhi Shankh because its upper half is said to have a resemblance to the horns of a Cow. The Puranas refer to this Shankh as the Kamdhenu Gaumukhi Shankh probably after the wish fulfilling Cow, the Kamdhenu. In this post, I have described a Mantra Experiment to purify and energize this Shankh and use it for fulfillment of hopes, aspirations, wishes and desires.

The Gaumukhi Shankh is found in Kailash Mansarovar, some Himalayan Mountainous regions and the coasts of Sri Lanka and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Lakshadweep Islands. It is said that due to its shape, it is very difficult to blow this conch and blowing it is possible for only those persons having strong and powerful lungs.

Coming back to the Gaumukhi Shankh Mantra Vidhi, it can be performed on any day in the morning after having a bath and wearing clean and unsoiled white colored clothes. The Gaumukhi Shankh should be kept on a cleaned and washed flower of the Madar Tree [Crown Flower tree in English- botanical name Calotropis gigantea].

Then the Sadhaka should chant the Mantra given below 108 times using a Rudraksha Japa Mala to count the number of Mantra Chants.

ॐ नमः कामधेनु गोमुखी शांखाय मम सर्व कार्य सिध्दि कुरु कुरु स्वाहा ||

Mantra

Om Namah Kaamdhenu Gomukhi Shankhaya Man Sarva Karya Siddhi Kuru Kuru Swaha ||

After the completion of the Mantra Chanting, the Sadhaka should blow the Gaumukhi Shankh [attempt to blow it] and then fill a mixture of Ganga Jal [Holy water of the River Ganges] and the Milk a Reddish Colored Cow and drink a little bit of it as Tirtha and then sprinkle the rest of the mixture in all the rooms of the house or the business place.  This Special Mantra Sadhana is said to fulfill the wishes and desires [ Manokamna Purti in Hindi ] of the Sadhaka.

After this, the Gaumukhi Shankh can be kept in the Puja Place or in any clean place in the home or office.

Filling clean drinking water in the Gaumukhi Shankh and then drinking it after a few hours is considered good for health and it said give him relief from many diseases and ailments.
