I have read the articles on Indian spiritualism and beliefs published on this site. Today I am not sharing a Mantra or a Sadhana but I want to share with you the importance of a Guru for getting a Mantra. In almost every Sadhana, we read or hear that we need a Guru for getting the initiation. We also come across articles on the Internet where Gurus claim how other Gurus are fake in this age of the Kali Yuga and how initiations taken from a competent Guru only will work. All of this is false. The fact is completely different. We do need initiations for Mantras, but that does not mean that only a Guru can give you initiations. For people who don't have a guru they can do what I have mentioned below. – Ashok Mehta

Write the Mantra on a piece of paper. Keep it in front of the respective God or Goddess, chant the Mantra, and imagine that God is giving you the initiation. If you see the Mantra in a dream then that means, you have got the perfect initiation. If that doesn't happen, you can start with the Mantra. However, before you start with your Isht Mantra, chant Brahma Vishnu Mahesh Mantra I.E. Guru Mantra as per your ability but not less than 11 times. After that, chant the Gayatri Mantra.
After this, pray to Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Gayatri and Surya Dev to guide you and give you success in the Mantra or Sadhana. Within 3 days of beginning the Mantra or Sadhana, you'll get to know whether you are going to get success or not. If you can't do this, then just pray to the God who's Mantra or Sadhana you are going to do and request him to guide you through the Sadhana and be your Guru. This always works.
I do not support most of the Gurus. This is because when you have God as your Guru then why would you need a human Guru. Gurus had importance in the previous Yugas when they had a really high level of consciousness. You can't expect the same from Gurus who have websites. If you want, a real Guru then one should go the Himalayas where one can find Gurus doing Sadhana since years. I am not denying the importance of a Guru. However, it's better to have God as your Guru then to have a human Guru.
I have seen cases where people got initiation of Mantra in dreams but still Gurus told them to get their initiation or else they will not be successful. What the Gurus only do is give you procedure and blessing to start the Sadhana and for this, they charge you thousands of rupees. Such halfhearted initiations do not work. Instead, it is better to pray to God and make him your Guru.

Sir is it necessary to maintain bhramacharya and avoid nonveg during the sadhana days(11days) to attain siddhi for Sarva Sreshta Mantra of Mahalaxmi
they even boasts of immediate feeling etc. and agrees to send DVD of performance, photographs, sankulp chant over phone and prasad courier etc.
what are your view and take on that?

Another very effective way is to chant 5 malas of Shiva mantra and ask him to guide as guru, he will surely guide.
If one has an innovative mind, he will discover than one simple sadhna is actually an initiation to several other sadhnas. No kidding!
There's also a mantra in "Shakti mantras" where you can have a vision of mother, with just 7 chantings, that solves all your worries and problems as well and with a wish in mind, it also gets fulfilled. Keep the wish for success in all sadhnas and you will. Easy way? Isn't it?
And Mehta sir, what should be the prayer to Brahma,vishu,Surya etc? Like should one do a sahastranaama and pray along or simple beej mantras will work? A little more elaboration is needed.

A real genuine and wise scholar told me some years ago to take Sri Adi Guru DakshinaMurthy as one's Guru before commencing any Mantra Japas
Previously you has mentioned very stron and potent mantra sadhanas .
Will you post sadhanas related to Dash mahavidyas or sadhanas that shoyuld be accomplished before starting mahavidya sadhanas in order to be successful ?
Also like you mentioned About importance of Guru in sadhanas , what are your views for initiation in Mahavidya Sadhana
I dont have a Guru.. I have full faith that my isht dev shiva baba is always there for me..
What mantra do i have to write on the piece of paper?
And because shiv baba is my isht dev how do i do this and what do i have to chant?
another point : there is no such specific rule or point in astrology that mantras in dreams have no use or value . most astrologers today are having half baked knowledge and use that only for commercial benefit . very few are authentic today .
