Vishnu Vandana

The Vishnu Vandana is a prayer recited in praise of Vishnu, the protector in Hinduism. Vishnu is part of the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, the Creator, the Protector and the Destroyer.

Vishnu is the protector or preserver of all things in the Universe.

Vishnu is also worshipped in numerous forms like those of his Dash Avatars or ten incarnations,the more popular amongst them are Rama and Krishna.

शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं पद्मनाभं सुरेशम् ।
विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम् ॥
लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यम् ।
वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं सर्वलोकैकनाथम् ॥
