Gaja Lakshmi Mantra for Amazing Prosperity
In this post, I have written about a most effective and beneficial Mantra of Mahalakshmi in the form of Gaja Lakshmi for gaining amazing prosperity and abundance and bringing about an increase in everything that is desired by the practitioner, including money, food and all kinds of material luxuries.
This Mantra invokes Lakshmi in the form of Gaja Lakshmi, which is one of the eight main forms in which Lakshmi is worshiped. These forms of Lakshmi are as explained from time to time in many earlier posts are called as the Ashta Lakshmi.

The best method of practicing this Mantra for invoking the blessing of Gaja Lakshmi also called as Gajant Lakshmi or the Lakshmi who is flanked by a couple of elephants who are showering water upon her has been given below.
1] The recommended date for starting this Mantra Sadhana is on the night of the festival of Diwali. However, if that is not possible, the Mantra Sadhana can also be started on any Friday.
2] The practitioner should have a bath before starting the Mantra Sadhana and then sit down facing the East Direction and start chanting the Mantra given below for 120 Malas or 12960 times using a Sphatik or Kamal Gatta Mala.
3] After the completion of the Mantra Chanting, the practitioner should chant the Mantra for 1 Mala or 108 Mantra Chants daily. This Mantra Chanting can be done in the morning, evening or at night, but once you have selected the period, then, you should stick to it.
Notes- The practitioner should chant the Mantra continuously and can take a break only for the most essential needs.
On the first night of the Mantra Sadhana, the practitioner can light Dhoop and Diya before a Murti or Photo of Gaja Lakshmi and worship her before commencing the Mantra Chanting, these images are easily available anywhere.

करन्यास--ॐ क्रां अङ्गुष्ठाभ्यां नमः ।
ॐ क्रीं तर्जनीभ्यां नमः ।
ॐ क्रूं मध्यमाभ्यां नमः ।
ॐ क्रैं अनामिकाभ्यां नमः ।
ॐ क्रौं कनिष्ठिकाभ्यां नमः ।
ॐ क्रः करतलकरपृष्ठाभ्यां नमः ॥
हृदयादिन्यास --ॐ क्रां हृदयाय नमः ।
ॐ क्रीं शिरसे स्वाहा ।
ॐ क्रूं शिखायै वषट् ।
ॐ क्रैं कवचाय हुं ।

ॐ क्रः अस्त्राय पट् ।
ॐ भूर्भुवस्सुवरोमिति दिग्बन्धः ॥
ध्यानम् --
चतुर्भुजां महालक्ष्मीं गजयुग्मसुपूजिताम् ।
पद्मपत्राभनयनां वराभयकरोज्ज्वलाम् ॥
ऊर्ध्वं करद्वये चाब्जं दधतीं शुक्लवस्त्रकम् ।
पद्मासने सुखासीनां गजलक्ष्मीमहं भजे ॥
मूलमन्त्रं - ॐ श्रीं गजलक्ष्म्यै नमः ।
