Prayers and Mantras for Basant Panchami

The most auspicious Tithi of Basant Panchami is being celebrated today on the 22nd January 2018. The Shubh Muhurut commences in the morning at about 7.17 AM and concludes at 12.32 PM in the afternoon as per the Hindu Panchang. This festival, which falls on the 5th Tithi of the Hindu Lunar Month of Magha is most favorable for the worship of the Goddess of learning Saraswati and anything that is related to studies, learning, acquisition of knowledge, including higher Divine Knowledge.

Basant Panchami is also considered to be most favorable for the purchase or acquisition of new possession like vehicles, shifting to a new residence, the commencement of a new venture or anything that is connected to arts, crafts, music, painting, oratory, acting and acquisition of skills.

Basant Panchami is also the most important date of the Hindu Lunar Calendar for students, scholars and all those people who are engaged in research and higher learning.

This Day is earmarked as the day on which the harvest season commences, leaving behind the cold days of winter.

This also signifies a new beginning or the start of a new and fruitful period or leaving the past behind and commencing a rosy future. Hence, a most favorable period for commencing any new venture, including a business venture or anything to do with money and finance.

Basant Panchami is also dedicated to strengthening the love and affection with your spouse or lover and family members and other near and dear ones.
