Preferred Day: The yantra can be prepared on any Monday. Shivratri is the best and most auspicious day of the year for making the yantra.
Where to Keep the Mahamritunjay Yantra on the Body: Wearing the yantra on the body is considered to be very potent. It will work like a personal protective shield and protect the practitioner from every harm or problem.
The yantra can be folded and enclosed in a silver or copper locket and worn on a red thread around the neck. If using a silver locket, a silver chain can be used; if using a copper locket, a copper chain can be used.
The benefit of using the Mahamritunjay Yantra around the neck is that it will be near the Heart or Anahata Chakra.
Where to keep the Mahamritunjay Yantra in the House, Shop, or Office: The practitioner can make a 6 inches 6 inches Mahamritunjay Yantra and get it framed or laminated.

This direction is regarded as the home of the deities. It is the best direction for installing the Mahamrityunjaya Yantra. Placing it here invites happiness, peace, and good health into the home.

It can be installed on a red or white cloth and placed near an idol or image of Lord Shiva.
