Durga Mantra to Awaken Past Life Memories

In the Yoga Sutras, Maharishi Patanjali writes, "While in deep meditation, if the practitioner focuses his mind on deep-rooted impressions, he spontaneously gains knowledge about his past life incarnations. This process is free from external forces and arises due to self-realization".

Durga Saptashati Mantra to Awaken Past Life Memories: In this post, I have written about a unique mantra from the Sacred Durga Saptashati that is believed to possess the supernatural powers of awakening the memories of past lives in the mind of the practitioner.

Here, I should maintain that as this Past Life Regression Mantra is directly linked to the subconscious mind and unseen spiritual dimensions, it must be practiced with extreme carefulness. The mantra needs mental purity and self-discipline, and hence it is only for advanced practitioners of Mantra Vidya.

Past Life Memories Knowing Mantra

Rules for Practicing the Past Life Regression Mantra Sadhana: The mantra should be chanted under the supervision of a Guru or an experienced practitioner who has practiced such Tantric Experiments.

The practitioner should consume a pure vegetarian diet, observe strict celibacy, control his emotions, and sleep on the floor during the days of the Mantra Sadhana.

Best Timings to Chant the Durga Mantra: Brahma Muhurta (the period between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM) or Nishi Kaal (nighttime) are the most effective times for chanting the mantra. The place where the mantra is being chanted should be clean and free from distractions; the practitioner can practice the Sadhana in a private room in his home.

Sitting Mat and Direction: The practitioner should recite the mantra sitting on a Kusha Grass or Wool Sitting Mat. He should face east or north while chanting the mantra.

Essential Rituals: The practitioner should place a low platform or table in front of himself and spread a clean red cloth over it. He should place a Yantra of Goddess Durga or Mother Mahamaya on the table and light an "Akhanda Deepak," which is a continuously lit lamp for the period of the daily mantra chanting. Pure Ghee should be used as fuel for the lamp; fragrant incense sticks should be lit near the lamp.

Purification and Pledge: The practitioner should invoke Shri Ganesha and his Guru that is if he has one and take water in his right palm. He should briefly say that he is going to recite the sacred mantra to awaken past life memories, signs, and symbols. Then, he should release the water to the ground.

Sitting Pose and Technique of Chanting the Mantra: The practitioner should sit in Padmasana or Siddhasana with his spine straight, but not strained. He should close his eyes and direct his mind towards his "Bhrukuti, " which is the space between his eyebrows where the Ajna Chakra or Third Eye is located. In this Tantra Shastra, this is the door for entering the unknown mystical dimensions.

The Actual Chanting of the Durga Saptashati Mantra: The Siddhi over this mantra given below by me is gained by chanting it for 5 malas for 41 days or 11 malas for 21 days. A Rudraksha or Sphatik Counting Rosary should be used for the Mantra Jaap.

ॐ ह्रीं जातिस्मरणे महायोगिनि सर्वकामप्रदे नमः ||

Mantra Transliteration in English:
Om Hreem Jatismaraṇe Mahayogini Sarvakamaprade Namaḥ ||

After the Daily Mantra Chanting: The practitioner should observe the images entering his mind without forcing anything or arriving at conclusions. These mental images can be glimpses of his past lives. Such glimpses or faint symbols are likely when the mind becomes still and silent.

Purnahuti: This is the offering to the Havan made by the practitioner after the completion of the mantra chanting. The practitioner has to make an offering of Pure Cow Ghee to the Havan. The offering is 1/10 of the number of mantra chants, meaning the practitioner should chant the mantra given below and make the offering. The only change in this and the basic mantra is the addition of "Swaha" while making the offering.

ॐ ह्रीं जातिस्मरणे महायोगिनि सर्वकामप्रदे नमः स्वाहा ||

Purnahuti Mantra Transliteration in English:
Om Hreem Jatismaraṇe Mahayogini Sarvakamaprade Namaḥ ||

The Purnahuti is made on the last day of the Past Life Memories Awakening Mantra Experiment. If there is no time, then the practitioner can recite the mantra 108 times, instead of 1/10 of the total number of mantra chants.

Prayer for Forgiveness: To complete the Past Life Regression Mantra Experiment, the practitioner should say a prayer for forgiveness for any mistakes made by him during the mantra experiment.
