Ancient Mantras to Break Bad Habits and Addictions for Good

In this post, I have written about two powerful ancient mantras to break addictions and bad habits for good. The vibrations generated by chanting these potent mantras help in reprogramming the subconscious mind and strengthening the willpower of the addict, helping him overcome addictions.

About these 2 Mantras: I have described 2 effective mantras to overcome addictions and negative habits. One of these mantras is a Shabar Mantra originating in the Nath Panth and attributed to Guru Gorakhnath. The other one is a verse from the Hanuman Chalisa, whose powers in removing pain, sickness, and disease have been experienced by millions of followers of Mantra Shastra.

Which Addiction and Negative Habits can be Eliminated By these Mantras: In psychology, the habit works like a loop that is triggered by any thought or action. The mantra works like a pause button to stop the urge and succumbing to the trigger.

Addictions and bad habits are not limited to substance abuse, CSBD, alcohol, and smoking. Negative habits generally fall into four areas: physical health, mental and emotional wellbeing, digital and tech use, and social behavior.

Some of the more common ones include screen addiction, addiction to mobile or TV, doomscrolling, procrastination, overthinking, getting angry at anything, gossip, overinterpreting others, self-pity, impulse buying, and the illusion of multitasking.

Both these mantras will help the practitioner break free from these physical and psychological problems. Seekers should remember that no bad habit forms overnight. It forms gradually through the trigger-action-reward cycle. Breaking it needs will-power and the right technique, which these mantras provide.

Shabar Mantra to Get Rid of Addiction and Negative Habits: The mantra should be chanted at about the same time in the morning for 21 or 41 days. The practitioner should take a bath and sit on any comfortable sitting mat, facing the east or north.

He should take a pledge by taking water in his hand and then praying to Guru Gorakhnath to give him strength to drop the addiction or bad habit. He should specifically mention the bad habit in his pledge. Then, he should let the water in his hand fall on the ground.

After this, he should chant the mantra 21 or 108 times. The number of mantra chants should be the same for all the days of the mantra experiment.

Shabar Navnath Mantra to Banish Bad Habits and Addictions:
ॐ गुरुजी, सत नाम आदेश। काया निर्मल, मन निश्चल, गोरख राखे ओट। बुरी संगत और सब विकार, गुरु शब्द से होवे दूर। दुहाई गुरु गोरखनाथ की, शब्द सांचा, पिंड कांचा, फुरो मंत्र ईश्वरो वाचा।

English Translation:
Om Guruji, Sat Naam Aadesh. Kāyā nirmal, man nishchal, Gorakh rākhe ot. Burī sangat aur sab vikār, Guru shabad se hove door. Duhāī Guru Gorakhnāth kī, shabad sānchā, pind kānchā, phuro mantra īshvaro vāchā.

Simple and Effective Mantra for Elimination of Bad Habits and Addictions: This small but powerful verse from the sacred Hanuman Chalisa is believed to be one of the most potent paranormal solutions for relief from pain and disease. Addictions and Bad Habits can be termed as a disease that gives mental and physical pain to the addict.

Hence, mentally thinking about the strong and powerful cosmic form of Hanuman and chanting the Hanuman Chalisa verse, like a mantra, will give instant relief to the addict.

Hanuman Mantra to Remove Addictions

The Hanuman Mantra can be chanted for a fixed number of repetitions, like 21 or 108 times in the morning or at night. It can be chanted whenever the addict feels an uncontrollable urge to use a substance, or feels compelled to engage in the kind of addiction that has hijacked his mind and brain.
