Future Fun and Play in Space
Could future robotically assisted ever easier living become almost totally simply living for fun and pleasures? It could become a new reality that about all tedious tasks would be almost freely achieved for us by very capable well advanced technology. Should this be judged as somehow wrong? (That's what some present folks down on Earth might proclaim.)
But why must advanced technologically greatly assisted future people need to strictly set aside some time to devote to less entertaining or even boring tasks? If future people don't need to give future time to any past tedious jobs or tasks, can it be judged proper to just play and relax almost all day, often enjoying devoting much time to pleasures shared with others? Why not nicely leave it to future ever better advanced technology and robotic devices to handle all manufacturing and utilities needs for better living, and also covering all past frequent human chores and daily food obtaining and preparation needs?
So is this what living should become all about, with most all time, (other than for eating, excreting, and sleeping), simply nicely given to good happy entertainments plus lots of fun frequently nicely shared with others? Might future advanced technology grow so good and capable that past human laboring becomes no longer needed for much of anything? Might this become our future human very nice living reality?
This could even mean that in such a future, advanced education for new children becomes less needed. And as future humans gain ever healthier longer lives, then past ancient evolution's needs for frequent new generations to take the place of aging adults will become much reduced. No need then to have more than 1-2 children, over as long as you live in perfect health, maybe for lots of centuries, quite safe from old past simpler more crude living which had long involved sometimes risky travel and tedious or boring tasks.
We can expect some proud religious cultures to protest against such new very simple living. Some will conceitedly proclaim that goodness demands frequent repeated worshipful devotion to God (Allah, Jahveh), hoping to win a pretended Eternal Soulful Worshipful life up in God's (Allah's, Jahveh's) pretended High Heaven.
