Bhagavad Gita Advise for Helpless People

“I have lost direction in life and am overcome with helplessness. In this desperate stage of my life, I turn to you to tell me what is best for me. I am your disciple and have taken refuge inside you.” – Bhagavad-Gita, 2-7.

This is a most profound verse from the Bhagavad-Gita, one that advises people overcome with helplessness and desperation, those whose mind has stopped working to seek refuge in the Supreme Being and let him do what is best for them.

Those who think that they know everything have an answer and explanation for anything should also deeply ponder over this verse from the Bhagavad-Gita. The verse indirectly advises the intellectuals and self-styled leaders of society that they know nothing.

Even spiritual people should remember that the unknown would always remain to exist, unknown factors, unknown reasons, unknown causes and effect. When you study and unravel something unknown, that something, which was previously the unknown, will become the known. Everything can never be the known, what is beyond the known will always continue to remain the unknown.

Helpless people should always remember that the Supreme Being lives inside them and the live inside him, hence, I have used the term "taken refuge inside you".
