This mantra like the previous one is dedicated to Gautam Maharishi one of the Saptarishis or the seven great Sages of the Hindu religion. The origin of many mantras as well as religious scriptures and practices can be traced back to Gautam Maharishi.

This mantra has to be recited 7 times while nearing the destination of your journey. It is said that one must invoke the name of Gautam Maharishi after this and invite him to be a part of your journey. It is said that doing this one gets comfort during the stay and halts in the journey and the journey is trouble free.
