Santana Dosha or Purta Dosha is one of the most unfortunate of the astrological yogas; this planetary combination relates to progeny and is considered inauspicious for gaining progeny. However, only a learned astrologer can diagnose if the horoscope is affected by this yoga. This yoga is related to Rahu Dosha and there is a simple do-it-yourself remedy to rectify Santana Dosha, which does not need the services of an astrologer to perform the remedy on your behalf.
Those married couples who have the Santana Dosha can practice this remedy- The remedy has to be practiced on a Shani Amavasya. A Shani Amavasya, is the Amavasya falling on a Saturday. Shani Amavasya normally comes once in six months.
Within one hour of Sunset on a Shani Amavasya, a Black Colored Cloth, measuring 1.25 Meters has to be folded and a Copper Katori, filled with Edible Oil has to be placed on the Black Cloth. Both the husband and wife have to see their reflection in the Oil. After which the Black Cloth, along with the Copper Katori have to be placed near the bank of any water body, like a well, pond, canal, lake, river or the sea. Keep in mind that the remedy has to be practiced within one hour after Sunset.
After completing the remedy, the couple has to leave the place where they have placed the Black Cloth and the Copper Katori without glancing back over their shoulders.
