This is a Vedic Cure of fever through the use of a specific Gayatri Mantra. Such paranormal remedies were widespread in the Vedic times and they are still practiced in some parts of India.
The patient suffering from fever is administered a mixture of the following ingredients –
A pinch of Black Pepper
A pinch of Turmeric
1 teaspoon of Honey
Mixed in a cup of Milk.
While the patient is drinking this mixture the Gayatri Mantra for fever given here is recited. It is believed that the vibrations of the Mantra energize the mixture and the fever subsides.

Sir is gayatri mantra satvik by nature
As the child is an infant you can not give her the mixture so you can chant the Mantra 3 times and move your hand lightly over her body each time after chanting the Mantra.
