The Gorakhmundi, botanical name - Sphaeranthus Indicus, known in the English language as the East Indian globe thistle and in Sanskrit as the Mahamundi has always been used in traditional Indian Medicine and Ayurveda to treat specific ailments. Though normally used as an ingredient in stomach, skin and infection related ailments, the fruit of the Gorakhmundi is prescribed by some healers in India to treat eye-related ailments and diseases and to reduce the number of the spectacles.
In this post, I have described a simple remedy practiced for the eye-defects, which, I have mentioned above, using the Gorakhmundi fruit.
The remedy is thus- The Gorakhmundi Fruit, which is about the size of a Ber [Indian Plum] should be cleaned and then consumed in the morning with drinking water. This remedy, which is believed to reduce the number of eyeglasses of a practitioner, has to be practiced for five day at a stretch.
If required, the remedy can be practiced for five days each for the next three months.
Note- I have described what the Tantra says and published the remedy in good faith and not to give any kind of assurance to anybody. If someone wants to practice the remedy, he should consult a medical practitioner to check if the Gorakhmundi Fruit is suitable for his health.
