Mantra Sadhana for Vision of Ganesha

This is a most powerful Ganesh Mantra Sadhana to have a vision of Ganesha. Beholding a manifestation of Ganesha should be the ultimate goal of any devotee of Ganesha. If lucky enough to succeed in this Sadhana, all the needs, desires aspirations and dreams of the Ganesh Bhakti will vanish, he will be freed from the unending cycle of life and death and attain Mukti.

Given below is the method of practicing this Ganesha Darshan Prayog, which is practiced for nine days.  The Ganesh Mantra used for this Sadhana is

Om Gam Ganapataye Namah
 ॐ गं गणपतये नमः

An idol or photo of Ganesha has to be installed in a room.
The Japa of the Ganesh Mantra has to be done in the same room, sitting before the Ganesh Murti, every night, from Midnight to 2 PM.  Before commencing the Mantra Japa, the devotee has to worship Ganesha by offerings of Dhoop and Diya. The Japa should be done on an empty stomach, for this, the devotee should skip his dinner.  After completing the Mantra Japa, the devotee should sleep in the same room.
Other than the practitioner, no there person should enter the room. The practitioner has to have a bath before entering the room during the daytime.
A Coral Bead Mala has to be used for the purpose of counting the Mantra Chants.

This Ganesh Mantra is in itself a most powerful Mantra and will start becoming potent after the completion of 800,000 Mantra Chants. Those, who are unable to perform difficult Mantra Experiments, can simply practice the Mantra Japa, during a fixed time of the day or night. Recently, I had written about another experiment using the same Mantra, you can read about it – Here.

  1. What do you mean by installing photo or idol of Lord Ganesha? Is it like "pran pratistha"?.

    1. Yes of course pran pratishtha or/ and you can simply kept photo in pooja place by true devotion by chanting ganesha again & again. Afterall true devotion is necessary for praying lord's lord Ganesha. You can chant ganpati Atharvashirsha.

  2. You write:

"The Japa of the Ganesh Mantra has to be done in the same room, sitting before the Ganesh Murti, every night, from Midnight to 2 PM. Before commencing the Mantra Japa, the devotee has to worship Ganesha by offerings of Dhoop and Diya."

1.) By worshipping Ganesha with offerings of Dhoop and Diya do you mean just lighting an incense stick and a clay lamp? Or are there more elaborate procedures involved?

Instead of a Ganesha Murti can one also just use a photo or picture?

2.) I am from Europe and in Europe we at the end of March shift the clock to the so-called "daylight saving time" or DST (ref.: http://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/). The time on the clock is effectively moved one hour ahead of natural time. What does then count in such a situation as midnight? The natural time or the time shown by the clock?

    Further you state:

"This Ganesh Mantra is in itself a most powerful Mantra and will start becoming potent after the completion of 800,000 Mantra Chants."

3.) Does this mean that one has to chant 800,000 times the mantra in just 9 days from midnight to 2 PM i.e. 14 hours? Even if one chants the mantra very quickly as 1 repetition per second we accomplish in 9 days only 453600 recitations.

    Finally you say:

"A Coral Bead Mala has to be used for the purpose of counting the Mantra Chants."

4.) What if a coral bead mala is not possible to get? What would be an equivalent alternative?

Many thanks in advance for the clarification.

    1. 1. A incense stick and a Oil Lamp have to be lit before the Ganesh Murti, the Oil Lamp can be of clay or any metal. There are no other procedures involved.
You can use a Photograph, instead of the Ganesh Murti.
      2. Go by the time on your Clock.
      4. As the Mantra Sadhana is done for a fixed period of time there is no need for a Counting Mala, so you can ignore that point.

The 800,000 Mantra Chants have nothing to do with this Mantra Sadhana, what I have said is that if someone chants the mantra 800,000 time over a period of time he will experience positive changes in his life. For this purpose the Coral Bead Mala can be used, if unable to find one, any other Mala can be used instead.
