The Forgotten Vedic Mantra Technique to Unlock Hidden Intelligence

Ancient Scriptures on Tantra and Yoga state that when a seeker meditates on the Medha Saraswati, the form of Goddess Saraswati, he can easily understand even the most complex and elusive hidden truths and knowledge. Meditating on Medha Saraswati stimulates the Nadis or energy channels connecting the Bhrumadhya, which is the space between the eyebrows, or Ajna Chakra, and the Sahasrara or the Crown Chakra.

In this post, I have written about a forgotten technique of mentally chanting the Medha Saraswati Mantra to unlock the hidden powers of the brain and gain higher intelligence. This method gives higher Intuition and Super Memory Powers, Mental Clarity, and upgrades the mind to the next level.

This form of meditation was practiced by ancient sages and yogis of the Sanatan Tradition for gaining hidden knowledge that was not contained in books. There are three main benefits to be gained by meditating on Medha Saraswati:

Retaining Knowledge: The mind functions like a memory bank by retaining all the knowledge that enters the mind. This knowledge is stored in the mind and never lost; it can be recalled whenever needed.

Intuitive insight: The seeker gains the extrasensory power of Intuitive insight. Using this power, he sees the hidden meanings and truths behind most things, including humans and animals.

Vak Siddhi:
This is the term used in Spiritual Hinduism to describe “Mastery over Speech” or the supernatural ability to “Make the Spoken Word Turn True”. This ability makes the mind clear, free from doubts, and enables the practitioner to take correct decisions at the right time.

Goddess Medha Saraswati

Description of Medha Saraswati in Ancient Scriptures: Goddess Medha Saraswati is described as extremely peaceful and radiant. She is shown wearing pure white garments, which symbolize purity of mind and body and the highest form of Satva Guna.

She has 4 arms; in the left hand she holds the Vedas, symbolizing Para and Apara Vidya or worldly and divine knowledge. In the right hand, she holds the crystal rosary, symbolic of meditation, stillness, and the power of her mantras. She holds the Veena in both hands, symbolizing the bringing of peace, harmony, and balance to the mind, thoughts, emotions, and nervous system.

In some images, she is shown holding a Pot of Nectar, symbolizing the Nectar of Knowledge. In some other images, she is shown in “Varada Mudra,” or the hand gesture symbolizing the granting of boons, fulfilling wishes, or blessing devotees.

She is shown seated on a Blooming White Lotus, detached from the mud. Symbolic of the mind's ability to remain untainted even in the midst of worldly strife and distractions. In some images, she is shown seated on a Swan, signifying the ability to filter out the truth from falsehood and real knowledge from the trivial.

The Secret Procedure of Chanting the Gayatri Mantra of Goddess Medha Saraswati:
I will tell you about the rare and secret 'Swar-Yoga' method, also called Ajapa-Smaran, to chant the Medha Saraswati Gayatri Mantra to illuminate your mind and open the path to connect with the divine knowledge of the Universe.

Step One:
Inhalation (Puraka). This activates the Ida Nadi, also called the lunar, moon, or chandra nadi. While inhaling through the left nostril, mentally recite the first part of the Medha Saraswati Gayatri Mantra:

"Om Vidyavasinyai Vidmahe Medhadevyai Cha Dheemahi." ॐ विद्यावासिन्यै विद्महे मेधादेव्यै च धीमहि"

While chanting the mantra, visualize cosmic energy entering your Ajna or Third Eye Chakra.

Step Two: Retention of Breath (Dharana) or Kumbhaka (breath holding). Hold the breath for just 2 to 4 seconds and mentally think about a blue or white light at the Ajna Chakra.

Step Three:
Exhalation (Rechaka). Exhale through the Pingala Nadi or right nostril, also called Surya or Solar Nadi. While exhaling through the right nostril, mentally recite the final part of the mantra:

 "Tanno Buddhih Prachodayat." :"तन्नो बुद्धिः प्रचोदयत्".

This process synchronizes both hemispheres of your brain, the left and right brain, to enhance their powers and abilities.

How Many Times to Chant the Medha Gayatri Mantra:
This technique of mantra chanting is based on Swara Yoga and Pranayama and does not need a high number of mantra repetitions. As it directly affects the nervous system, beginners can repeat the cycle 11 or 21 times.

Once the body adjusts to this rhythm, it can be increased to a half Mala of 54 chants or one Mala of 108 chants. If the practitioner experiences heaviness in the head, dizziness, or anxiety while holding the breath. He can omit the retention part and simply chant the mantra using the basic Anulom-Vilom breathing rhythm.

Best Time: Brahma Muhurta between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM is the time of the day with the purest atmosphere. The period of Sunset, when the day meets the night, is the best period for opening the Ajna Chakra. Hence, the Medha Saraswati Gayatri Mantra can be chanted at any one of these timings.
