Ancient Trigger: The Sound Secrets of Shabar Mantras

In this post, I have written about the secret science of Shabar Mantra and how ancient triggers and commands, like Duhai, Aan, Guru Ka Vachan, and Phuro Mantra Ishwaro Vacha, that are present in most Shabar Mantras, work. The meaning, purpose, and significance of these codes have also been described in this post.

Many practitioners of Mantra Vidya do not understand the grammar of Shabar Mantras and think that they are not grammatically correct. Here, it should be remembered that the original composers of Shabar Mantras selected the words in such a manner that chanting them generated specific sound vibrations.

These sound vibrations directly impacted the subconscious mind of the practitioner and the surrounding energy. This enabled him to fulfill the desire for which he was chanting the Shabar Mantra. It should also be kept in mind that these mantras were composed in the common spoken language of those times so that anyone could chant and pronounce them without difficulty.

Commands in Shabar Mantras

Duhai in Shabar Mantras: Most often, one comes across the term “DuhaI” in many Shabar Mantras. The meaning of Duhai in the context of a Shabar Mantra is an appeal for help or a cry for justice or mercy to a God, Goddess, Saint, or a Navnath Master. The most invoked Deities and Masters are Shiva, Hanuman, Kamakhya Devi, Guru Matsyendranath, or Guru Gorakhnath.

For example, “Lona Chamarin ki Duhai,” this term in the Shabar Mantra resembles a binding oath to the deity to act to keep the honor of Lona Chamarin. Lona Chamarin or Luna Chamari was an enlightened master of Tantra Vidya identified with Kamrup and the Kamakhya Temple.

The Term “Aan”:
Aan, meaning honor or prestige, is another term used to appeal to a deity to help the practitioner gain the desired success in the motive for which he is chanting the Shabar Mantra. This term attempts to invoke a deity by appealing to him or her in the name of another deity/deities or Guru.

To give an example, "Tujhe Gorakhnath ki Aan". These terms are like a binding oath to a deity to fulfill the wish or desire of the practitioner to keep the “Aan” or honor of Guru Gorakhnath.

How Duhai and Aan Trigger the Shabar Mantra to Act:
Shabar Mantras were composed mostly by the Masters from the Navnath Sampradaya. The vibrations or Dhvani and Tarange of the Shabar Mantras are believed to be live and active in the atmosphere. Hence, terms like Duhai and Aan are the triggers that activate the energy or powers of the Shabar Mantras and make them deliver.

The Term “Guru Ka Vachan”: This term represents the Atma or Soul of the Shabar Mantra and constitutes the Prana-Shakti or Life-Force of the Mantra. Every single word coming from the Guru’s Mouth is considered to be Siddha or Perfected and has the capacity to harness cosmic energies. The words uttered by the Guru are timeless and remain true for ages.

“Phuro Mantra Ishwaro Vacha”:
This term or variations of it appear mostly at the end of the Shabar Mantras. It functions like a divine or celestial command that cannot be overruled or ignored by any power in the Universe.
