In this post, I have written about the mystical experiences, visions, and inner voices associated with the awakening of the power of Mantra Sadhana and the effects of deep mantra meditation on the mind, body, and aura of the practitioner.
The most asked question posted by many practitioners of mediation and Mantra Sadhana, on this site, is "how do I know if the power of the mantra has manifested within me" or "How do I realize that I have gained Siddhi over the mantra". In this post, I have described some of the main indications that can tell the seeker whether they have gained Siddhi over a mantra or not.
Seven Basic Symptoms of Awakening of Mantra Power:
1] Changes in the Mind and Body of the Practitioner: While chanting, the mind of the practitioner becomes calm, contented, and stable. Negative emotions, such as anger, jealousy, and fear, are reduced, and the body feels light, happy, and filled with divine energy.
2] Automatic Chanting of Mantras: Where earlier the mind used to wander here and there, now the mind starts getting immersed in chanting the mantra automatically. There is a desire to chant mantras without any effort, and the practitioner does not get tired or keep track of the number of mantras chanted.
3] Mysterious Experiences: The practitioner starts seeing glimpses of mystical lights, coloured rays, or divine shapes on closing his eyes. Hearing Anhad Naad or sounds like bells, conches, and veena in his ears. Feeling mysterious vibrations, or sensations of unimaginable bliss moving in the mind and body.
4] Signs or Visions in Dreams: He starts seeing deities, gurus, divine symbols, like Om, Trishul, and Diya, in dreams during or after the Mantra Sadhana. Sometimes the practitioner gets a solution to a problem in a dream.
5] Power in Speech and Gain of Attraction Powers: The seeker gains the divine power of "Vacha Siddhi" or the supernatural ability of making the spoken word turn true.
The words spoken by the seeker gradually become effective, and people start getting influenced by him. A mystical and divine glow appears on this face, and people are attracted by his aura; even strangers start respecting him.
6] Powerful Positive Energy: Problems stuck for a long time suddenly get solved. Enemies and unfriendly persons calm down in his presence, and negative energies are repulsed. The practitioner attracts sudden good luck and success in work.
7] The Ultimate Experience of being Immersed Deep Mantra Sadhana: Going into meditation starts happening automatically. The identification with the self and physical body starts vanishing, and only the experience of bliss and the divine remains, and an invisible guiding voice starts speaking from within.
All these experiences show that the seeker is on the right path and the power generated by the mantra is manifesting. But one thing should always be remembered, not to get overexcited by the experience, but to keep practicing the sadhana to gain real power.
