Decoding Nostradamus Prophecies About USA

Some of the Prophecies made by Nostradamus are unclear, symbolic, and shrouded in coded verses. In this post, I have attempted to decipher some of these prophecies, which researchers have interpreted as being about America. Nostradamus never directly named America or the USA because, in his time, America was a new world about which Europe did not yet have much knowledge.

Still, people associate some Quatrains from his book "The Prophecies" with America, which I have described in this post.

1] Sign of America's rise (New World):
Nostradamus has mentioned a "new world" or "new city" in some quatrains, which some people consider a symbol of America or New York. The famous prophecy of the burning sky or approaching fire at 45 degrees has been interpreted as an attack on New York.

A specific example is "The New City will see great destruction". Some scholars associate this quatrain with the 9/11 terrorist attack, when the World Trade Center in New York (New City) collapsed. This could also be a futuristic prophecy about great destruction connected to New York.

2] Third World War and America:
Some people associate these quatrains of Nostradamus with the Third World War or nuclear war, in which America will play a key role.

“Twice risen and twice fallen, the East will weaken the West.”. Here, “West” is understood to be America or Western nations, and “East” is understood to be Russia, China, or some countries from the Islamic world. This quatrain has been linked to a conflict between the US and the other nations or groupings mentioned above, a warning of a possible third world war.

3. Collapse of America’s economy:
In one quatrain, Nostradamus says: “The great empire will be overturned… the poor will become kings.”. Some people associate this with America’s economic collapse or the fall of the dollar.

In another quatrain, he says, "The great empire will be overturned, and the poor will become kings.". Many people associate it with the collapse of the US economy, the fall in the value of the dollar, and the rise of new powers (such as China or India).

4. Change in America’s leadership and decline:
There is also a hint about some future leaders whom some people associate with American Presidents. For example, Donald Trump or any future autocratic leader is also mentioned in many interpretations.

“A great Western nation will slowly weaken from within. Its leaders will be confused, and external enemies will be instrumental in its destruction.”

This has been linked to America’s political divisions, economic imbalances, and declining global influence.

 


5] Remote and Contact-Less Wars: This is a very interesting prophecy, which is associated with a future "space war" or technological cyber war in which the US may play an important role. This has been linked to US AI, satellite warfare, and drone technology. Hinting at possible "silent wars".

Please keep in mind that Nostradamus' predictions are hazy and written in coded verses. Different people interpret them in different ways. Officially, he did not name "America", "USA", or "New York". Hence, all predictions are based on the interpretation and imagination of the predictor.
