The Meaning of all the Words of the Shiva Mantra:
Alakh: Unseen or invisible, this means the Supreme Ever-Existent Being who cannot be perceived by physical eyes and is formless.
Niranjan: Sinless, free from illusion, and absolutely pure.
Aadesh Guru Ko: Salutations to the command, authority, and lotus feet of my Guru.
Jata Se Chhute Ganga: The matted locks of the hair of Lord Shiva, which are the origin of the sacred river Ganga.
Shiv Sada Sahai: May Lord Shiva always help and guide me and be my protector.

Meditation: The practitioner should meditate upon the calm matted-hair form of Lord Shiva for about a minute.
