2] He should wear clean clothes and sit facing the north or east direction, in the Place of Worship in his home or in any clean place in the home.

3] He should light a Lamp of Pure Cow Ghee and a couple of Incense Sticks in front of a photo or idol of Goddess Lakshmi. If he is travelling, he can skip this step and simply recite the prayer.

4] When he is reciting the prayer, he should mentally visualize that Goddess Lakshmi is entering his home and blessing the home with peace, happiness, and prosperity.
