This is common answer to all the readers who have inquired on the following points-
What to do with materials/ ingredients, used for the Mantra/ Yantra/ Puja/ Sadhana; once the Sadhana is completed. What to do with the left overs, unused material used in the Sadhana.
If it is not specifically mentioned in the post on what to do with these items then a Visarjan of these items should be done. Visarjan means immersing in water. Visarjan can be done in a Well, Lake, River or the Sea.
If the unused or leftover items are of a reusable kind then you can always keep them for future use or give them to anyone in need of such items.
In some posts where I have mentioned a flowing water body specifically; there it has to be a flowing water body; like a river or the sea.
If the Sadhana which you are doing is for a long period; then in such cases you can collect the items in a bag and then do the Visarjan collectively. However if you have used perishable items and there are chances of them rotting and spoiling the atmosphere in your home, then you must do the Visarjan of such items before they start rotting and decomposing.
