Lakshmi Yantra Sadhana By Vishwamitra
The Great Sage Brahmarishi Vishwamitra is know to have performed a most powerful 9 days Lakshmi Sadhana to make the Goddess of Wealth and Abundance, bless his Ashram with Sampannata [prosperity]. The basic method of worshiping a Lakshmi Yantra derived from the Sadhana performed by the Brahmarishi is described below, in this post.
Vishwamitra is said to have prepared a Sadhana Kutiya in his Ashram and sat down on a yellow colored sitting mat, facing the Shirodaya Samudra [in the south direction].
He prepared 9 Mounts of rice grains[symbolic of the Nau Dravya] on the wooden board and and kept a Lakshmi-Ganesh Yantra, which he had received from the Brahmand [universe], in-front of him, on the middle mount of rice.
He, then chanted 11 Malas daily of the Beej Mantra Yukt Lakshmi Mantra, given at serial number 10. This Lakshmi Mantra was also received by Vishwamitra from the Brahmand. He used a Shankh Mala to count number of Mantra Chants.
The Lakshmi Sadhana performed by Vishwamitra was so severe and powerful that the entire Universe shivered when he took a Sankalp [pledge] to perform the Sadhana for 9 days. The Sadhana performed by Vishwamitra is extremely difficult to describe or replicate, but the simple method of worshiping a Lakshmi Yantra using a most powerful Mantra is given below.
