Sathya Sai Baba a Non-Dual being

Sathya Sai Baba the world renowned India holy man and Guru passed away on 24 April 2011.Sathya Sai Baba had millions of disciples all over the world. Numerous miracles like materializing of objects and Vibuthi [sacred ash] are attributed to him. He of course had his critics who had branded him as a fraud.

I would tend to disagree with his critics who called him a fraud. A mere fraud could not have achieved what Sathya Sai Baba did in his lifetime. Here I would like to state that I was never his follower, neither did I study or observe him. It is only after he passed away that I started to investigate about him. It is human nature that we put a hallow around the saints of the past and look with contempt at counterparty ones.

What caught my eye was a small detail about the early years of Sathya Sai Babas life. He was said to have been stung by a scorpion on 8th March 1940, when he was about 14 years old. He then lost consciousness for several hours and when he regained consciousness and recovered there was a complete change in his behaviour.He then began to recite scholarly Sanskrit verses and also started performing miracles.

This I have diagnosed as a unintentional case of Non-Duality.What really happens in the state of Non Duality can only be explained by the person who has reached that state. It has been described as that elusive state where one become one with everything and everything becomes one. There is no past, present and the future. This state cannot be permanent in nature and one has to come back to the normal state. But the advanced Non – Dualist can easily and at will fluctuate between these states.

Sathya Sai Baba had claimed to be an reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi.This can be explained by Non- Dualism, where I have said before one become all and all becomes one. Thus he was one with Sai Baba of Shirdi the same way as he was one with everything.

If one were to look at the life of Sathya Sai Baba it was mostly spent for the public welfare, countless people poor as well as rich benefited from it. Had he lived in the past people would have put a hallow around him and any criticism would not have been tolerated.
