Durga Saptashati Mantra for Satisfaction

This is a verse from the Sacred Hindu Prayer, the Durga Saptashati, which is said to bring happiness, contentedness and satisfaction [Prasannata, Samadhan aur Anand] into the life of the chanter of the Mantra. This verse has been spoken of by me in earlier posts, today, I will  explain a simple yet effective method to unlock the full potential of this Sanskrit Verse and find the key to  satisfaction and contentedness by making vibration of self-satisfaction flow unhindered into your life.

The Meaning of the verse in simple English is – I surrender to you [Divine Mother] please dissolve the hurdles which block my path.

The practitioner should chant the Durga Mata Mantra 12 times early in the morning facing eastwards and letting the rays of the rising Sun sink into his mind and body and engulf his entire being.

    1. This Mantra can be chanted for as many days as you wish, there is no need to look directly at the Sun, but you must be facing the Sun while chanting the Mantra.

    1. At least attempt to face the direction of the rising Sun, even if you do not see the Sun, the Sunrays are still absorbed by the body.

If we woke up early in the morning i.e 4 or 5 am,at that time sun would not be there.what they have to do to perform chanting of this mantra.Shall they have to wait untill the sun rise? What do you mean of sunlight? Is it direct sunlight which hit the body or just some natural light in the enclosed areas like homes, offices etc..

    1. Yes, you have to wait for Sunrise as direct Sunlight has to fall on your body and practice it like how it has been explained in the article.

You can continue chanting Om Namah Shivaya if you feel better while chanting the Mantra, it is better not to chant it during the Monthly Cycle.
