If you are suffering from any kind of mental disturbance, turmoil, tension, stress, nagging worry, restlessness, fear or depression; then take some drinking water in a cup and hold the cup in your hand and chant this mantra 21 times; this infuses the water in the cup with the potency of the mantra.
Then drink this water or give it to someone who is suffering from the symptoms described above to drink. This Sadhana can be practiced on the days you are experiencing these symptoms. The mantra gives relief to persons of all age groups; including children.
The pronunciation of हंस should be like that of Swan in Hindi with ah at the end.
